Musician, Producer and Co-founder, Red Grape Records

Calum MacColl is a respected musician,
producer and songwriter as well as the co-founder of Red Grape Records. Son of folk legends Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger, Calum started playing and touring with his parents as a child. He went on to produce a number of their albums, including a trilogy of traditional folk albums recorded by his mother.

As a writer, producer and musician, his many credits include Eddi Reader, Hafdis Huld,
Christie Hennessy, The Bible, Brian Kennedy, Black, Sarah-Jane Morris, Ronan Keating, The Backstreet Boys and most recently the award-winning Malian singer Rokia Traore.
He has also written and recorded music for a number of films and TV programmes.

In 2004 he was one of the founders of an early social networking site for musicians (in the days before MySpace became ubiquitous). He left to set up independent label Red Grape Records with his partner, Kerry Harvey-Piper. The label works with passionate world class artists like Boo Hewerdine, Hafdis Huld, Eliza Wren Payne and latest signing Broadcaster.
